A quick look at some of the things that happened this week in the world of cable cars, urban gondolas, and cable propelled transit:
- The Ba Na Hills Mountain Resort in Vietnam’s Danang city is set to open it’s third cable car line.
- The Mount Wellington Cable Car proposal in Australia faces opposition from local Aboriginal groups.
- If you happen to be in Singapore, this might be a good chance to ride the Singapore Cable Car. The system has announced its partnership with various companies to offer members and customers a 50% discount on tickets.
- Starting today, the Cologne Cable Car in Germany will be back up and running for the 2013 season (in German). Last year, it served 450,000 visitors where it saw a dozen couples tie the knot.
