The Mi Teleférico, built by Doppelmayr, is currently embarking on its phase 2 expansion plans. The upcoming Blue Line (Línea Azul) received its first rider, Bolivian President Evo Morales, on Sunday, November 20, 2016.

Built at a length of 4.9km, the Blue Line will be the city’s longest ropeway and will be directly connected to the Red Line (Línea Roja). The Blue Line begins at the Jach’a Qhathu station on the Red Line and makes 3 intermediate stops before terminating at Rio Seco terminal.

The Blue Line is scheduled to open for passenger service in Spring 2017.
