- Dubai is moving forward with their high-speed cable car project. The city’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and urban transport company Beem Car have come to an agreement to develop the futurist 15 km cable car. The pods will travel over public right-of-way through 21 stations. A video, created to give viewers a glimpse at what this new mode of transit would be like, can be seen in this article.
- A gondola in Quebec suffered electrical issues resulting in injuries. On February 21, 2020 a gondola at the Mont-Sainte-Anne Ski Resort came to a sudden stop resulting in numerous passengers being injured. The resort and manufacturer will be conducting an inspection of the electrical system.
- Sümela Monastery in Turkey is working on a new cable car. The historic area is planning a 2.5 km cable car, offering visitors not only a beautiful aerial view of the monastery, but reducing the amount of time it takes to get there.
