- Arizona Snowbowl is upgrading their ski lift during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ski resort has received all required permits and is moving forward in replacing the Agassiz three-person chairlift, installed in 1986, with a system that combines detachable chairs interspersed with gondolas. The new left will have the option of six or eight-person chairs. The resort plans to have a “farewell tour” and send-off party for the Agassiz Lift.
- Unfortunately, several ski resorts in Colorado have postponed lift construction projects. The Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Okemo ski resorts have had a dramatic decrease in revenue due to COVID-19. They anticipate revenue losses to continue into 2021.
- Vietnam’s Cloward H2O water park transports visitors to their park by cable car. The recently completed cable car travels across three islands and over the ocean to arrive at the water park.
