“Outlook India” dived deeper into the recently opened Mimachal Pradesh, India, the Dharamshala Skyway. The 1.75 km aerial ropeway runs from Dharamshala to McLeodganj, with the top station in front of the Dalai Lama Temple. It was built at a cost of ₹207 crore according to media reports and consists of a mono-cable detachable gondola system, with 18 cabins that can each accommodate eight people. The Skyway has been executed through a public-private partnership and mainly serves tourists, as the rider price is not yet competitive for local residents.

Grand Yapı+Pam İnşaat Partnership low bid for Kartepe Cable Car Project. The Grand Yapı+Pam İnşaat Partnership provided the lowest bid to the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality for this 10-station 4 km long cable car line between Derbent and Kuzuyayla, Turkey. A 1,500 passenger per hour capacity is anticipated.

The UniverCity Community Association is backing an urban transit gondola for the Burnaby neighborhood. In an opinion piece, the group encouraged civic leaders to vote in favor of the gondola over a bus-based service for moving people along the congested corridor that serves Simon Fraser University. They cited three main reasons for their support: service availability for residents, reduced pollution, and the ability to increase capacity as the area continues to grow.
