Post by gondola-project

  • Grouse Mountain constructing new gondola, set to open for 2024/2025 winter season in North Vancouver, Canada. The base station is currently under construction, and the plateau station is complete. Preparatory work also continues for the 14 towers. When completed, the system will have 27 eight-person cabins, increasing capacity to 1,000 people per hour with a 5.5-minute ride time. Construction costs for the system total $35 million.
  • Pulse Gondola planned at Loon Mountain Resort in New Hampshire. The pulse gondola will connect the Riverwalk Resort to Escape Route Parking, which will be next to the future new terrain expansion. The system will be 1,300 feet long and will have 12 eight-passenger Omega IV cabins. The system is set to open for the 2025-26 winter season. While there are mixed reactions from guests, Loon argues that this is a key project for the future development of the base village at South Peak.
  • Doppelmayr to construct €10mn ($10.7 Million USD) cable car in Uzbekistan. The planned system will be 1,200 meters (39,000 feet) long, leading up to the summit of the gorge. The area surrounding the top station will also be home to other structures and activities including guesthouses, a restaurant, horseback and camelback riding, sports facilities, and picnic areas.
