Weekly Roundup: Future of Vienna Cable Car Proposal Still Undecided

A quick look at some of the things that happened this week in the world of cable cars, urban gondolas and cable propelled transit:

  • It appears that the Viennese cable car proposal to Kahlenberg is still under works. Proponents are still determining how the system will be financed and has yet to submit a formal application to the city. Based on current estimations, the cable car will be: 6km long, have a 20 minute ride time, average fare of 5-10 Euros and attract 600,000 visitors each year.
