Not much to “roundup” this week, so instead, take a look at what the rest of the net is saying about delays to the London Thames Cable Car:
- The BBC summarizes how the London Thames Cable Car wound up in its current safety probe.
- 853 profiles the campaigners who halted the cable car.
- Transport for London claims that these delays won’t have “any material impact on (the) planned delivery timetable.”
- London Reconnections provides an excellent break-down of the legal complications that underscore this matter.
- Alan Haughton, the individual who first raised safety issues says that “the whole scheme has descended into farce.”
In other words: Stay tuned. It’s anybody’s guess now whether the system will be ready for the 2012 Olympic Games or whether it will be built at all.
