Sentosa Gondola Transit

Post by Steven Dale

Unfortunately, no post today due to travel.

I did, however, want to take a few minutes and tell everyone to check back here next week. We’ll have original images and documentation of the rebuilt Sentosa Island Gondola in Singapore.

As regular readers know, it’s an important system but there’s not a whole lot of readily-available, first-hand research on it.

Hopefully we can rectify that situation.

  1. Its officially called the Singapore Cable Car. It is not a transit at all but a pure joy ride and links to the sentosa island. There is a big casino on Sentosa as well as other tourist attraction they also have a chair lift there. A ticket for the gondola costs 26 SGD for an adult while the monorail costs only 3 SGD. http://www.sentosa.com.sg/en/getting-to-around-sentosa/getting-to-sentosa/
  2. BTW it was once a Bicable and now an Monocable.
