- In case you’re heading to the middle of the Pacific sometime in the future – specifically the Northern Mariana Islands – a tourist gondola system is currently being proposed, by no other than a man named Heinz Staffler, great grandson of Josef Staffer, cable pioneer.
- A cable car proposal (bottom supported) in Dunedin, New Zealand – the second city in the world to utilize cable car technology – is now seeking community support. The last time a cable car ran through Dunedin’s streets was in 1957.
